About us

We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. Habilitation is a complement to other healthcare services. Our mission involves investigating and providing habilitative interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as movement impairments, multiple disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities/autism spectrum disorders.

Your tasks

The goal of the special educational interventions is to create favorable conditions for the individual's development, learning, independence, and participation. Since you will be an important cog in the interdisciplinary team, it is essential that you believe that the best results are achieved together. Interventions are provided individually or in groups, at our reception or in the individual's everyday environments. As a special educator in the children's teams, you will work with clarifying pedagogy, adjustments in the environment, information, advice, and support based on the disability, lead various groups, and conduct training and information sessions. The position may include work with Intensive Behavioral Training (IBT). We work from a behavioral medical perspective based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). All special educators regularly meet at cross-county professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or a licensed primary school teacher and has a special education degree. Experience working with people with disabilities is an advantage. We place great importance on your personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, and to cooperate with other actors. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
